About Adrienne Gobe Physical Therapy

When the pandemic hit, I, like many of us, was stuck with some impossible decisions to make about childcare and work. Adrienne Gobe Physical Therapy was born because many of my clients encouraged me to treat on my own. I had been out of the clinic for a few months and intermittently I would get a kind inquiry about when I would be seeing patients again. After much thought and encouragement from my family and community, I embarked upon a new endeavor, my own practice.

While treating in Austin, I have grown many pelvic floor programs, trained many fantastic therapists, and grown my skills as a pelvic floor and orthopedic therapist. I often see extremely complex cases with multiple co-morbidities. Seeing these clients can be extremely rewarding because within 1-2 visits we often see a big improvement in quaintly of life. Clients with chronic pelvic pain, IC, pelvic girdle pain, vaginal pain. testicular pain, penile pain, anus pain, Vulvodynia, vaginismus, just to name a few conditions I often see.

As a recent pregnant person, I have a passion for increasing number of pregnant people in physical therapy. The benefits are so immense for them for the health of their pregnancy. We know that pain is common in pregnancy, but we know there is better advice than just to tell them to wait it out until they deliver. Pelvic floor therapists are able to support pregnant people thought pregnancy to maintain their level of activity to improve the health of the pregnant person and the baby (babies) they carry. Pain can be extremely detrimental to the physical and mental health of the pregnant person. Supporting pregnant people during their pregnancy will reap benefits in the postpartum period as well.

I am a one woman show. I answer all my own phone calls, emails, faxes, and texts. Sometimes its not the fastest or smoothest, but it does keep me in close contact with my clients. One thing I have loved about my practice is how communicative I can be with my clients. Also, I get to spend lots of time one on one with them. If this sounds like it could be a good fit for you, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me, or schedule a 15 minute meet and greet so we can see if we could be a good fit!
